I will always be thankful to Curtis for how he helped me in my first year in the Air Force. Transitioning to military life is t always easy. When I got to tech school I was relieved that an old friend from Memorial AME Zion was stationed down the road from my base in Biloxi. Curtis reached out to me and took me out for meals where he gave me constant encouragement and advice. I’m forever grateful for his taking the time to help me out that first year in the Air Force. He really stepped up as a big brother when I need one. He will be missed.

Curt,
I know we all have an appointed time, but i was not ready for this. I never dreamed of a time when I couldn't pick up the phone and call you .You would always ask about the entire family without fail, and plan for our next Crab boil! We had such good times, I will miss that. You were such a good person and they say the lord calls his best!

To The Hall Family , I remember Curtis hall like it was just yesterday. He allways had a big smile and allways talked about his beautiful Family His wonderful Mother Mrs. Hall and His brother who he really cherish. I know when I use to be in the youth Choir at Memorial and he had to do a solo. He had the beautfiul voice u could ever hear. The song would make u cry cause he had a voice like and angle. A: Curtis, was a standup man, with the best qualities a man could have. He took his responsibilities serious and he was commented to doing what is right.. He had a big heart and shared all he had with those around him. When my sons got out of the armed services, it was Curtis that said “have them call me so I can help guide them through the process”..
He will be missed!

A: I will never forget Curtis's love for squash. When he first tasted squash, he thought it was the most amazing food he had ever tasted. He was very delightful every time we met. I loved Curtis then. And I love him now. He was such a beautiful human. I hope you know I hold the family in the highest esteem for the beautiful way you have always treated me. It’s easy to see where Curtis got his love and joy from.

A: His joyful laugh and his big bright smile. Neither have changed in the 30 years since we met. You were one of the best people I've had the honor of knowing in this journey of life. Q: How would you describe Curtis to someone who had never met them?
A: Funny, kind, caring, and giving are some of the words that come to mind when I think of my friend Curtis. He expressed his love and kindness through music and in the kitchen whipping up some of the best dishes I have ever experienced. It did not matter who you were. If you were in his presence, he would go out of his way to make you feel welcome, comfortable and very full by the time you leave his space; because eventhough you want to stop eating whatever he had cooked, you had a hard time doing so because it was just that good. Seeing this brought him joy. Curtis, you are gone in the physical, but the memories of you are forever ingrained. From you chasing me home from the school bus almost every day, to us taking our children to Disney World in 2021. You were my friend and I am happy and privileged to have known you in this life. I love and will miss you dearly Curtis Rozell Hall. Rest my friend. Rest.
