Obituary of Angelina Rowland Hart

ROCHESTER, NY – April 29, 2024 Ms. Hart was born in Rochester, NY on May 21, 1958, to She is the daughter of Mary (Bakum) Rowland and the late George Rowland. She was the second of four daughters. She graduated from Madison High School, then she went to work at Kodak as an administrative assistant. She also attended stenographer school. Angelina was a long-time member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she credited her spiritual growth period. She was a choir member, but never got the nerve to do a solo. She loved bible studies so much that she decided to attend the Bible Academy. She was invited to do her first sermon at her beloved Zion Hill. Angie experienced a dark point in her life. She had loving pastoral care and a praying church family. She was delivered out of this dark period into the light of the Holy Spirit. She met a "gentle giant" named Wayne Hart and they were married for 19 years. Angelina departed this life on April 29, 2024. She is predeceased by her husband, Wayne Hart. She leaves to cherish her memories; mother, Mary Rowland; daughter, Sienna Rowland; son, Nathaniel Rowland; grandson Canan Rowland Manns; three sisters, Zela Rowland, Nora Rowland and Rose Rowland; four aunts, Clara (Morris) McCall, Deryline (Coco) Cochran, Jeryline Edwards, and Jennie Balkum; two uncles, Charles (Joyce) Balkum and Walter Balkum; nieces, nephews and a host of cousins, and friends. Friends may call Tuesday, May 7 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 250 Dr. Samuel McCree Way, Rochester, NY. The Funeral Service to Celebrate her life will immediately follow. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rochester, NY.
