ROCHESTER, NY – October 28, 2023
Mrs. Phelps was born August 26, 1945 in Memphis, TN. She is the daughter of the late Ernest Minley and the late Ruby (Rose) Minley. She married Ronald D. Phelps.
She was employed by General Motors in Rochester, NY as an Inspector.
Katherine Ann Phelps departed this earth to be reunited with her mother, Ruby Rose Minley and sister, Ruby Jean Rodman.
She leaves behind; her husband, Ronald Phelps; children, Rodney and Tamika Matthews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; brothers, John Arthur Minley (Gloria) and Harrel Minley, cousins, other relatives and friends. She touched so many lives near and far and will be missed dearly.
Visitation is Friday, November 10 form 4:00 – 8:00 pm and Saturday, November 11 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Genesee Baptist Church, 149 Brooks Avenue. Funeral will immediately follow the Saturday wake at 12:00 Noon. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
