Albert attended Wilson Magnet High School where he graduated in 1987. Albert was a multi-sport athlete who played football, indoor/outdoor track and baseball during his high school years. He received a track and field scholarship for the hard work and skills he displayed as a runner. Albert attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA and after his freshman year transferred to Delaware State University in Dover, DE where he participated in the school marching band.
Albert was a trained musician and enjoyed playing musical instruments such as the French horn, the saxophone, and the trombone.
