Obituary of Jason Sylvester Singletary

ROCHESTER, NY - July 22, 2023 Mr. Jason Sylvester Singletary was born on January 10, 1981 to Elder Sylvester & Evangelist Claudia Singletary, in Rochester, New York. On July 22, 2023 God called Our Beloved Jason to His Heavenly Home. At an early age, Jason developed a relationship with Jesus Christ and was baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Gift of the Holy Spirit at Emmanuel Temple Church, Rochester, NY. Jason was an avid writer, basketball player, and sports lover. He played basketball at Greece Athena High School, where he graduated. Jason attended College in Atlanta, Georgia. He played the drums as a child and grew to become a professional musician where he played with a band and recorded music. Jason was gifted to play multiple instruments, and was an Avid Songwriter and Producer who enjoyed being a Rapper (JAYSLYSING). He was gainfully employed at Rochester Psychiatric Center for 17 years. Mr. Jason Sylvester Singletary was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Dr. Corine Parker of Jacksonville, Fl, and Mr. Claude & Mrs. Anne Newborn of Rochester, NY. Mr. Jason Sylvester Singletary leaves to cherish his loving memory; his Grandparents Mr. Alfred & Pastor Ocie Rivers of Rochester, NY, Parents Elder Sylvester & Claudia Singletary of Rochester, NY, His Children: Jasmir LiAna Singletary of Rochester, NY & Aiden Sylvester Singletary of Rochester, NY. His Siblings; Mr. Reginald Singletary of Panama City, Florida, Dr. Michael Gainer (Tasha) of Pennsylvania, Dr. Kiki Singletary-Williams (Carlyle) of Atlanta, Georgia and Mr. Wyman Singletary (Katarina) of Atlanta, Georgia. Special Aunt Evangelist Lizzie Hopkins of Rochester, NY, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Family Members, and Friends. Friends may call Friday, August 11 from 11 AM - 12 Noon at Emmanuel Temple Church 1 Seneca Parkway, Rochester. Funeral Service to Celebrate his Life will immediately follow with Pastor Trent Washington, officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
