ROCHESTER, NY – January 23, 2022 Ernest was born May 23, 1943, in Greenville, Florida to the late Ernest Houston Sr. and Maggie Lott Houston. Ernest was a man of valor and didn't mind sharing his wisdom with family and friends who were around him. He departed this life on Sunday January 23, 2022. He leaves us with many fond memories to cherish. Ernest is predeceased by his wife, Beverly Houston who passed December 25, 2021; parents; siblings Ida Mae Smith (Isaiah), Jimmie Lee Smith, Ethelene Brunson, Maggielene, Allen (Linda) and Levi Houston (Lillie); he will be forever cherished by his children, Alex Houston, Koren Scott (Randy), James McCullough, Sonya Rogers; grandchildren, Rashad (Amanee) Scott, Autumn Houston, Jalisa, Jasmine, Jaquan, Jamal, Janai McCullough; great grandchild, Kamiyah Randle, Janiya, Jayla, Journey McCullough; sister, Bertha Mae Alexander (Billy, deceased); a host of nieces and nephews, other family and friends. Friends may call Thursday February 3 from 11-12PM at New Bethel C.M.E. Church, 270 Scio Street. Funeral Service to follow. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Penfield, NY.
