ROCHESTER, NY - September 24, 2021 - US Navy Veteran
Mr. Moxley was born August 24, 1923 in Paducah, KY. He is the son of the late Alonzo and the late Magnolia (Thornton) Moxley.
He served in the Navy during World War II from 07/23/1943 to 01/05/1946. He was employed by Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY as a Maintenance Engineer.
He peacefully departed this life on September 24, 2021. He is predeceased by; his parents; Magnolia and Alonso Moxley; his siblings, Willard, Charles, Madonna June, Bivian, and Marilyn; and 1 son, Dwight Moxley.
Thurman leaves to cherish his memory; his life partner; Dorothy Fitzgerald; 5 children, Byron Moxley, Sharon (Ernest) Nelson, Phyllis Moxley, Denise Moxley-Koehler, Duane (Myah) Moxley; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Delores (Sammie) Whitehead; Sister-in-law, Anne Moxley; nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, October 9 from 10 AM - 11 AM at Aenon Baptist Church. 175 Genesee Street. Funeral service to follow. Interment Riverside Cemetery Veterans Section. Masks required.
