Obituary of Deacon Clifton Banks

ROCHESTER, NY – 1941-2021 Formally of Greenville, Mississippi, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 21st, 2021. Clifton was born Dec 30th, 1941 to the late Lewis "LC" and Marie Banks. Clifton was employed at Domine Builders Supply for over 25+yrs and later retired. Clifton was known to be the life of the party. He was an amazing cook and enjoyed sharing that gift with others. Deacon Clifton Banks was a loyal Deacon at Goodwill Baptist Church for over 35 yrs. He had a passion for working with the youth and was a mentor to many. He is predeceased by; one daughter, Gwendolyn Banks; one son, Clifton Banks Jr.; 4 sisters, Elizabeth Banks, Margie Sims, Yvonne Cotton, Mary Thomas; 1 niece, Toyono Sims all of Greenville, MS. 2 brothers. LC Banks and LJ Banks; mother in law, Daisy Williams; 2 sister in laws, Verna Jackson and Polly Appleberry; 2 brother in laws, Levi Williams and Freddie Williams and a very special great-grandson, Nicholas Jermaine Gilmore Jr He leaves to mourn wife of 49 yrs, Daisy Banks; 3 Sons, Perry Williams, Kenneth Williams and Lewis Charles Banks (Shaina) III; 1 daughter, Angela Williams, 7 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 7 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; GodDaughter, Theresa Bowick and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends. The Family would like to thank Pluta Cancer Center for the love, care and support that Clifton and family received over the years.
