Obituary of Edward Jackson Sr.

ROCHESTER, NY - January 28, 2021 - US Navy Eddie was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy and was a retiree of Pfaulder Inc. Edward "Eddie" Jackson, Sr. passed peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at the age of 93. He was born in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Lincoln and Lulu Jackson. Eddie is predeceased by his beloved wife Sylvia (Glover) Jackson, and brothers DeLeon, Henry "Hank", and McKinley Jackson. He is survived by his children, La Marr J. Jackson, Esq., of West Henrietta, Edward (Olga) Jackson of Irondequoit, Janine (Catherine Maier) Jackson of Rochester, and Todd E. (Kimberly) Jackson of Chili, granddaughter Kalia S. Jackson of Irondequoit, and sisters, Fleda "Emma" Gibbs of Churchville, Addie Lou Coleman of Churchville. He is also survived by his three step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren including, the very special Sha'Miek Swan, sisters-in-law Rochelle McDaniel, Rochester, and Betty L. Jackson, Gates, along with his nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-nieces, nephews family, and friends. Friends may call Saturday, February 6, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Latimer Chapel.
