Alma was an inspiring administrator. She encouraged her teachers to use their creative ideas in their classrooms to allow their students to reach their potential. She was also a wonderful friend!

Friends Forever
(Friends Forever Poems)
Sometimes we have a friend and we sense a close connection. We know that the connection is above time and space. We know that wherever we are in our lives, we will always remain friends. Even if we do not see each other for years, we are able to pick up right where we left off. This is what people mean when they say friends forever.
Alma Campbell Mitchell thank you for being my friend.

Alma was my first and only Principal. We would talk for hours about her childhood and life in general. She was my Principal who became a mentor, and good friend. Our lives went in separate directions but there was a love and understanding we shared that will always be treasured. Rest in Heaven my friend. - Khristy Hamilton

I am sorry for loss and pray that God will comfort you.
I met Alma around 74/75 and I have to say she always made me smile. She was part of one of my first “Friends” trips to Washington, DC. It was a fun /interesting drive.Truly a special lady who will be missed.
