ROCHESTER, NY – March 5, 2019
Ophelia A. King was born April 16, 1925 in Lake Park, GA. She is the daughter of the late Richard Daniel Washington and the late Cora (McSwain) Washington.
She was employed by General Motors Rochester, NY as a Quality Control Inspector.
Predeceased by her husband, William King; 1 daughter, Anita King; 1 son, Wayne King. She is survived by 1 son, Christopher R. (Anita) King; 2 daughters, Deborah E. (Kenney) Cannon and Susan C. "Moiteshema" Buckner; 5 grand and 10 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Marjorie Thurston; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.
Calling hours will be Friday, March 15 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 141 Adams Street, Rochester, NY.
The Funeral Service to Celebrate her life will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Rickey B. Harvey, Officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
