ROCHESTER, NY – February 1, 2019. U.S. Army Veteran
Elder Rouse was born September 2, 1944 in Darlington, SC. He is the son of the late Otis Rouse and the late Lola Mae (Smith) Rouse. He married Mary Walker.
He served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired Sgt. with the Monroe County Sheriff's Department in Rochester, NY.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary A. Rouse; several children; a host of grand and great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Archie L. Rouse (Ardenia); 1 sister, Gloria Lawson; nieces, nephews; in-laws; other relatives, church family and friends.
Calling hours will be Friday, February 8 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Aenon Baptist Church, 175 Genesee Street, Rochester, NY.
The Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will immediately follow. Rev. Dr. Jonathan Jamal H. McReynolds, Pastor. Rev. Leon Dupree, Eulogist. Entombment in White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford, NY.
