ROCHESTER, NY – January 13, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Rodney Leon Linton, Sr. announces his passing after a very lengthy illness. He was 65 years old. Mr. Linton was born Saturday, August 8, 1953 in Rochester, NY. He is the son of the late Alphonso A. Linton and Leomia (Redden) Linton.
He attended Adlai Stevenson #29 Elementary School and James Madison High School in Rochester, NY. After graduating, he attended Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO majoring in Political Science and Computer Technology. After marriage, he moved to Seattle, WA. He later moved back to Rochester where he was employed by Frontier Telephone as a Computer Technician.
Mr. Linton is preceded in death by his father, Alphonso Anglin Linton, his grandparents Terence and Wilhelmina Linton of Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Albert and Lady C. Redden of Sanford, FL.
He is survived by his mother Leomia Redden Linton of Rochester, NY; his daughter, Brittany Linton and his son, Rodney Linton, Jr., both of Seattle, WA. He also leaves three brothers, Carl Linton of Bath, NY, Terence Linton of Rochester, NY and Randy Linton (Helen) of The Villages, FL. Five sisters, Gayl Linton Gibson of Atlanta, GA, Latricia Linton-Agee, Kimberli Linton Brock, Reneita Linton and Pennella Linton of Rochester, NY. Also left to remember him are a host of nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held.
