Mr. McCollough was born September 15, 1923 in Andrews, SC. He is the son of the late Melvin and the late Annie (Williams) McCollough. He married Sylvester McKnight. He was employed by Unknown South Carolina as a Lumber Jack. He is survived by his devoted wife: Sylvester (McKnight) McCollough; 7 children, John D. Nesmith (Almenia), Lue Esther Robinson, Joyce Benjamin (Isaac), Patricia McCullough, Beatrice McCullough, Katie Martin (Jimmy) and Lee Jr. Nesmith; 18 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren; sister Ila Mae Reed; step-granddaughter, Monique Starling "Bunky"; special nephew, Willie C. McCullough; a host of step-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends. Calling hours will be Monday, February 12 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at St. Paul Holiness Church, 63 Thomas Street, Rochester, NY. The Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at St. Paul Holiness Church, 63 Thomas Street, Rochester, NY with Rev. Daniel D. Flueller, Sr., officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rochester on Tuesday, February 13, immediately following the service.
