Dr. Nelli L. Chappelle-Mitchell was born February 11, 1926 in Jersey City, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Cullie and the late Eloise (Pinckney) Mitchell.
She was employed by Rochester Mental Health Center as a Psychiatrist until she retired.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Edward H. (Sherra) Chappelle; 2 grandchildren, Edward H. "C.J." Chappelle, III and April Nicole Chappelle; cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.
Calling hours will be Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 10-11AM at Trinity Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 9 Shelter Street, Rochester, NY. The Funeral Service to Celebrate her life will follow with Rev. Dr. William H. Wilkinson, Officiating. Inurnment Riverside Cemetery.
