Marietta G Avery, age 65, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in, Rochester.
Mrs. Avery was born May 12, 1949 in Oxford, AL the daughter of the late Henry L and the late Mary (Goodman) Garrett.
She was a General Manager of WDKX. She is survived by 2 daughters, Erikal D. (Daryl) Roberts, Melanie D. Avery; 4 grandchildren, Mariah, Azaria, Jabari and Gabrielle; 1 brother, William Garrett; 5 sisters, Bessie (Frank) Jones, Catherine Phillips, Irene (Levi) Anderson, Valdine (Willie) Young, Judy (Dee) Terrell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives, church family and friends.
Friends may call Monday 5-8 PM at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 351 Joseph Avenue. Funeral Service Tuesday, 11AM at the Church. Rev. Dr. Harmon E. Stockdale, Officiating. Interment White Haven Memorial Park, Perinton, NY
