Leardrew Leonord Johnson, Sr., age 93, died Monday, January 26, 2015 in, Rochester. Mr. Johnson was born April 21, 1921 in New York City, NY the son of the late St Elmo and the late Mary (Harley) Johnson. Rev. Johnson was Pastor Emeritus of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. He is Survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Hanson Griffin Johnson; 1 son, Leardrew L. Johnson, Jr.; 3 daughters; Dr. IIona V. Johnson, LaNora F. Johnson and Karen (Thomas) Coleman; 1 grandchild, Talib A. Cherry; 1 great-grandchild, Shemyra Cherry; sister-in-law, Alberta Harley; brother-in-law, Lindsay (Mamie) Griffin, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends. Rev. Johnson will lie in state Monday, 5-8 PM at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 141 Adams St. Phi Beta Sigma Memorial Service 7PM. Funeral Service Tuesday 11AM at the Church, Rev. Harvey Kelly, Officiating. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, 1100 S. Goodman St. 14620 or The Friendly Home 3156 East Ave., 14618 in memory of Rev. Dr. Leardrew L. Johnson, Sr.
