John C Mitchell, age 83, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in , Rochester.
Mr. Mitchell was born April 21, 1930 in New Iberia, LA the son of the late Pierre and the late Louise (Vallot) Mitchell.
US Air Force Veteran. Predeceased by his brother, George W. Mitchell. He is Survived by his devoted wife of 63 years. Constance M. Mitchell; 1 daughter, Constance Mitchell-Jefferson; 1 grandson Gregory C. Jefferson; 2 great-grandchildren, Trevon and Jude Jefferson; 1 sister-in-law, Ruth Mitchell; niece, Karen Thomas; nephew, George W. Mitchell Jr.; special cousin, George (Myrtle) Fontenette; host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Latimers. Funeral Mass, Wednesday, 10 AM at St. Monica's Church, 831 Genesee St. Fr. Ray Fleming, Officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
